When used in conjunction with a Pre-filter unit, both water and solid particulate contaminants can be removed from the primary fuel. The filter/separator design uses a passive filtration element approach that results in highly reliable equipment with fewer parts, lower installed weight, minimal maintenance requirements and low vibration/noise. These units are ideal solutions for low-noise ASW ship applications. The design is highly scalable for large volume CVN-type applications.
